Overview

Plov VPN ("the App", "we", "us") is a VPN connection client. The App lets you import a VPN configuration (a VLESS link) from any source you choose, and use it to establish an encrypted tunnel from your device. The App does not require you to create an account, does not include a built-in store or payment system, and does not sell VPN subscriptions itself — configuration links are obtained by you from a source you select independently of the App.

This policy explains, plainly and specifically, what data the App handles, where it is stored, and what — if anything — leaves your device. It is written to match the App's actual current behavior, not a generic template.

Information We Collect

The App collects and stores the following information, entirely on your own device:

DataPurposeWhere it's stored
The VPN configuration link you import (VLESS) Required to establish your VPN connection Locally on your device only
Timestamp of when you imported the link Displayed to you in the App Locally on your device only
Timestamp of your last connection Used to show elapsed connection time; cleared when you disconnect Locally on your device only

Please note: a VPN configuration link functions as a credential — it typically contains a unique identifier and your server's address. Treat it like you would a password, and avoid sharing screenshots of it with anyone you don't trust.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not include any of the following, and does not collect the data associated with them:

On-Device Storage

All data listed above is stored locally using your device's standard app-storage mechanism (iOS: NSUserDefaults; Android: SharedPreferences). None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party by the App. Uninstalling the App removes this data from your device.

Diagnostic Logs

While a VPN session is active, the App's connection engine temporarily writes a local diagnostic log file to your device's own app storage (used only for connection troubleshooting). This file is recreated each time you connect and is never transmitted off your device by the App. A short, in-memory record of recent connection activity (cleared when the App closes) may also be used internally for the same diagnostic purpose.

Network Activity

Beyond the traffic you send through your own configured VPN server, the App performs one automatic action: a brief connectivity check immediately after connecting, to confirm the tunnel is working. This check is routed through your VPN tunnel itself (so it reaches the check target via your chosen server, not directly from your device) and does not send any personal or usage data — it is a simple reachability probe, not tracking.

App Permissions

iOS: the App does not request camera, contacts, location, or microphone access. It requests permission only to add a VPN configuration, which iOS requires for any VPN app.

Android: the App requests the permissions necessary to run a VPN connection (network state, foreground service notification, and VPN binding). It does not request camera, contacts, location, or microphone access.

Third-Party Configurations

The App is a general-purpose VPN client: it can import a properly formatted VPN configuration link from any source. Where you obtain your configuration link — including from any third-party seller or channel — is your choice, and any purchase or account you hold with that source is governed by that source's own terms and privacy practices, not this policy. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any source you use to obtain a configuration link.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, because the App does not transmit the data described above to us in the first place — it never leaves your device through the App's own code.

Security

Your imported configuration link is stored using your device's standard app-storage mechanism. We recommend keeping your device's own lock screen and software up to date, as this is the primary safeguard for any data stored locally by any app.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

Changes to This Policy

If we change what the App collects or how it behaves, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
